Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy is willing to take a £5million hit to sell striker Vincent Janssen this month.

And Spurs will still allow Georges-Kevin Nkoudou to leave the club, even though the winger set up a last-gasp winner for Harry Winks against Fulham on Sunday.

Janssen has returned from the foot injury that prevented him from leaving Tottenham last summer and has played in the last three games for the club’s Under-23s, scoring once and assisting three goals.

Despite Harry Kane’s injury and Son Heung-min’s absence on international duty with South Korea, manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed Janssen is not part of his first-team plans.

Having signed for Tottenham for £17m in 2016 from AZ Alkmaar, Janssen is now available for around £12m this month and is understood to be open to any offers.

There has been interest in Janssen, who scored 31 goals in 49 games for Alkmaar, from China and the United States, and Tottenham have been sounding out clubs in Europe.

Janssen would rather make a permanent switch and start afresh at a new club, rather than move to a club on loan and run the risk of finding himself in a similar situation in the summer.

There are still 18 months remaining on Janssen’s Tottenham contract and the 24-year-old remains a popular figure at the club, despite his wish to leave and Pochettino’s refusal to include him in his squad.

Nkoudou, who joined in the same summer as Janssen, had become another of Tottenham’s forgotten men before stepping off the bench to make an impact against Fulham.

But his cross to set-up Wink does not change the club’s position and Nkoudou, who spent six months on loan at Burnley last season, would be allowed to leave Spurs for around £10m.

Tottenham are still waiting for news on the injury Dele Alli suffered against Fulham, but the club are refusing to be forced into making any short-term panic buys to cover for his potential loss on top of Kane’s injury.
