Nakhi Wells has said he would be open to making his loan move to QPR from Burnley permanent.
The Bermuda international is currently in his second loan spell with the Hoops and with his contract at Turf Moor expiring next summer, he will have to start thinking about his next permanent home.
Wells, who is 29 years-old, scored nine goals in all competitions for the R’s last season and has so far managed seven goals this term since returning over the summer.
Burnley spent £5 million to land Wells in August 2017 but he has found first team opportunities hard to come by in the Premier League.
The ex-Bradford City and Huddersfield Town man has admitted he is open to the idea of moving to the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on a permanent deal, as per a report by West London Sport: “That’s all stuff that’s beyond any of my decision-making of course. But I think the club, the fans, the board – everyone knows what my decision would be. I love it here, it feels like home to me.”
“Of course football is a business and there’s a lot more that goes into it than just me saying I’d like to stay here. But if it was possible I wouldn’t hesitate one bit.”
Wells has become a hit at QPR and seems to love life with the London outfit. Will Mark Warburton’s side make the deal permanent next summer?
